VICTORY FELLOWSHIP INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES

When you come to Victory, you will see that we are a community of believers comprised of people from a variety of nations.  In addition to local missions that we support such as Heartland Christian School. Heartland House of Prayer, and Bluffs Acres, we also have a global vision.  Did you know that Victory Fellowship also has a church on the other side of the world?

VICTORY FELLOWSHIP IN AFRICA

At this time, we have four churches in Africa located in Sudan and Ethiopia.  Pastor Lonnie Parton, along with a small team, visited the first Victory Fellowship Church to be established in Africa in February of 2010.  This church is located in a Sudanese Refugee Camp called Fignudo, Ethiopia.

The church is lead by Steven Wiw, a mighty man of faith.  Steven was called by God in a dream to pastor a group of believers who were simply gathering for prayer.  In the dream, God told Steven that he was to shepherd this group and to call the church "Victory Fellowship."  At that time, he was unaware of Victory Fellowship in Council Bluffs, IA USA.

This is a strong group of believers who exist only from the support given to them by the UN.  Every month, rations of beans, rice and oil and delivered.  Because the members of the African Victory Fellowship have taken in over 40 of the street children into their homes and provided for them as their own, often times the provisions runout before the  next delivery.  During those times, the families fast untilt he truck delivers more food.

Since our initial visit, the leadership has begun three more works:  One in Gambella, Ethiopia, and two in South Sudan.  The locations of the churches in Sudan are in Malakal.

There is so much work and help that is needed in this war torn area of Africa.  It takes so little to help so much in these areas.

You may be involved in this work by financially giving toward construction costs or by sponsoring a child in Malakal.  We are currently working to coordinate the sponsorship program and will have  more information on this soon.

Please pray for these works that God's protection and provision is given to these leaders.

COSTA RICA AND NICARAGUA

Our relationship with the wonderful people of Costa Rica and Nicaragua is through our good friend and pastor, Marlon Chacon.  Marlon pastors a small and growing group of lovely believers.  At his invitation, we have made several trips to this beautiful country preaching and teaching the Word of God.  We have many wonderful memories with our friends there.

In September 2010 a small missions team traveled to Managua, Nicaragua to minister in several churches and to connect with some leaders.  There was a great reception to the message that was delivered.  An invitation was given by a large network of over 300 churches for us to travel back to Managua in the fall 2011.  The plan is to take a larger team to teach a three day seminar on the subject of Local Transformation and have evenings meetings that minister to the needs of families.

We are looking forward to building relationships with our new friends there.

SHORT TERM MISSION ADVENTURES

Plans for attending the seminar in Managua, Nicaragua are being set for Fall 2011.  This is a hands-on trip for every short-term missionary who attends.  The request from the leaders in this city is to come and minister to the many needs that they have in the area of families.  This is an area heavily influenced by superstition and it has taken its toll on families.  You will be involved with intercession and hands on ministry to many broken people.  This three night event will take place in a Football Stadium.  If the Lord is calling you to be involved, please contact our office.
