10 Days to Pentecost Prayer Focus Day 6
Day 6 Brokenness
Break up the Ground
“Our collective brokenness is much more precious and powerful to God than our creativity and ingenuity (Psalm 34:18). Desperate people, like Jacob, will leave the place of brokenness – stripped of pride, self-sufficiency and marked by God. The Jacob generation will awaken to divine destiny, which is the place where God gave Jacob, and will give us, His divine recourses and restore His glory in His church (Gen. 32:27-31, Ps. 24:3-6, 51:17). In Breaking up the Ground, ask the Lord to show you what it means to have a broken and contrite spirit before Him. Examine your heart for pride and self-sufficiency.
Seek the Lord
Take time to seek the Lord on behalf of your city. Ask for a spirit of brokenness come to the hearts so that God will respond with His kindness and favor (Hos. 5:15, Ps. 81:13).
Rains
As you break through pride began to thank the Lord that you are growing in favor with both God and man. Focus you heart on His favor upon you. You are His child and He wants to rain His favor on you! (Luke 2:52; Acts 2:47; Ps. 106:1-5)
